La Reine des Montagnes Noire
Sourced from Mavrodaphne vines planted in 2016 in Sofiana, Corinthia, at an elevation of 850 metres, La Reine des Montagnes Noire is a wine of remarkable depth and character.
Following the harvest, the grapes undergo a 28-day maceration and extraction, allowing the wine to develop an intense and expressive fruit profile. Fermentation takes place in 400–500 litre barrels using indigenous yeasts, before the wine is moved into larger 1,000 litre barrels, where it matures for a further 12 months.
Rich, concentrated and complex, La Reine des Montagnes Noire combines generous fruit with depth and structure, while offering excellent potential for further development in bottle.
The wine represents the next chapter of The Black Daphne
